Founded by Richard and Jan Hargreaves in 1978, J&R is Bristol's oldest independent cleaners. Over the years they established themselves as one of the best drycleaners and launderers in the South West.
Now run by Michael (son) and Becci (daughter), who have been raised in the business and are keeping the family standards high.

From Feburary 2022, we are introducing wet cleaning to our customers.
What is Wet Cleaning?
Different cleaning methods rely on different ratios of water and detergent. Dry cleaning doesn’t require any water, and instead uses liquid solvents to gently clean delicate, dry clean-only fabrics. Laundry, which uses a lot of water and detergent, is the preferred method for cleaning casual wear, like t-shirts and cotton or polyester fabrics. Wet cleaning uses less water than traditional laundry. The small amount of water, combined with specialized detergent, safely cleans garments that previously could only be cleaned through dry cleaning.
What Are the Benefits of Wet Cleaning?
Wet cleaning is one of the newest innovations in garment cleaning. This method:
